The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful, completely unpretentious, a joy to be around. The rooms were large and, though dated, were scrupulously clean and well-maintained. The outside dining area, that had a wonderful view, was covered with kiwi(!) vines, and below our room there was a lovely garden with a peach tree, among others. Really, a lovely setting. The nicely designed breakfast room also provided for a great view with very decent food. The value for money here was the best we've come across yet. The location was great; it was quiet, tucked in as it was below the road. We look forward to returning and using it as a base for a longer exploration of the area.
Absolutely no complaints.

The location of De Maria house was excellent for our family. It is situated in the small village of Pastena, approx 9km from Sorrento. There is a local sita blue bus stop directly across the road that will take you to Sorrento and surrounding areas. The b&b has beautiful views of Capri and the accomodation was of a very high standard. We were met on arrival by the family's daughter Augusta, she was so informative and helpful on suggesting places to visit and important sites to see. As we arrived on sunday evening we had no bus ticket(which can be bought in most small shops, not on the bus) Augusta very kindly drove us down to Sorrento, stopping off on the way to show us the house of Napoleons parents. She also organised our boat trip to Capri, and drove us down to the port to meet the boat. All of this was at no extra cost to us. I cannot recommend highly enough the De Maria House if you are looking for comfort. The room was large (4 beds) very clean, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern, large and clean. There was a large flat screen tv, a safe and a mini refrigerator with lots of floor space. Breakfast was included in the price and was an extensive buffet, freshly baked croissants and cakes, cereals, boiled eggs, sliced meats and cheeses plus a large selection of teas and filtered coffee. We ate in the family restaurant where Papa made the pizza (very good) and Mama made us some very nice penne arrabiata. We would certainly love to go back some day.

We had a fantastic stay at De Maria House. After a long day of sightseeing, we were delighted to find a spacious and comfortable room awaiting us. The modern and spotlessly clean surroundings made us feel right at home. The highlight of our stay was the delicious food served at the in-house restaurant. The homemade pastries at breakfast and the mouthwatering pasta dishes for dinner were divine. The staff made us feel like part of the family, providing warm and friendly service throughout our stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby towns and a bus stop right outside the entrance. we highly recommend De Maria House for a nice and enjoyable experience.

This is the perfect place to stay to explore the western part of the Sorrentino Peninsula. You can take the bus to Sorrento (or a splendid 1 hour walk), 10 minutes by car to a wonderful beach, and nice walks in the beautiful country side. Tours to Capri are arranged by the hotel. Good value restaurant on the premises (don't forget to taste grandpa's pizza).

I recently stayed at this luxurious hotel and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The location up the hill with a mouth-watering view was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel was within a relative short driving distance to nearby attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area. The service and housekeeping were top-notch, ensuring that every little detail was taken care of. The rooms were equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need, from heating and air conditioning to a mini-bar and balcony. The on-site dining options were outstanding, with a restaurant and bar/lounge area serving delicious breakfast and special diet menus. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly luxurious and comfortable stay.
This hotel is a must-visit for anyone seeking enhanced comfort and quality services.
